Live session: Building lasting DIY fundraising relationships

Updated August 15, 2025

Traditional DIY fundraising approaches naturally create isolated supporter experiences. But what if you could reimagine DIY as a community-building strategy that fosters deeper connections, drives ongoing engagement, and creates meaningful pathways between all your fundraising initiatives?

Join our August 20 session to hear insights from Keith Clarke, Director of Community & Corporate Partnerships at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, on how The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation made this possible with their DIY Challenge program.

Webinar: Building community through DIY fundraising on August 20, 2025

DIY fundraising can sometimes feel like managing hundreds of separate campaigns. Individual supporters doing their own thing, raising money in isolation, with little connection to each other or your broader mission after everything’s said and done.

Keith Clarke from The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation saw this same challenge when his team launched the DIY Challenge in late 2020. But instead of accepting scattered efforts, they reimagined DIY as a community-building strategy.

The results? Over $3 million raised, thousands of new supporters, and a new pathway for individuals to become multi-channel champions across the Foundation’s portfolio of signature events and initiatives.

Keith and our Enterprise Client Experience Manager, Jordana Knoblauch will be sitting down August 20th at 1:00pm to they explore the strategies and lessons that have helped build DIY to Conquer.

Join the session to learn:

  • How to identify/empower supporters who naturally become community fundraisers
  • DIY-specific stewardship approaches that foster connections
  • Pathways for DIY fundraisers to become multi-program champions, staying engaged across your initiatives
  • Scalable, self-serve systems that encourage fundraising while maintaining authenticity
